Writing poetry never appealed to me until I felt the heaviness of heartbreak. Here are some poems that I have written. Read with caution; click to expand.

-- Every picture of you is sideways. My neck hurts from tilting, But you tell me this is how it should be. I stare into the dark spots of your eyes And forget that we exist on different planes.
-- That look in your eyes was ferocious and steel I was your meal I collapsed into layers enslaved in your rage, I was trapped in your cage Just burning to feel Your hands were like claws and as you tore me to shreds Flung across your bed I bled.
-- I want to be on the other side of the sea; you’re all I see. I left but it isn’t right how my own flight has drowned me. My thoughts turn back to how your arms covered mine as we slept side by side and as much as I hide as much as I've sighed as much as I've tried to leave you behind your drum beats again as I pace down the road with two broken bones and a rib that you've cracked Will you still be here when I come back?
-- Anyone who isn’t you isn’t real to me. I want you near to me I want you near to me Sometimes i wonder why it had to end right there You had something to say I wanted to be strong So I went my own way. What happened or didn’t happen doesn’t matter anymore. Just please open the door Just please open the door
-- Fall asleep together, wake up in forever Your kisses in my arms, I want it in my heart Let's forget the voices, a thousand stupid choices You’ve reached into my soul, but in hours we’ve to part How can I hold on To the shadows of your warmth The murmurs of your touch The way you make me feel like everything is so much Too much Just enough Abrupt. And then it’s morning time A time that lingers on I don’t want to be gone I don’t want to be gone.
-- I sit here alone Amongst a crowd of voices A murmur of voices That charge at me Numbness to the sound Cold to the touch Feel the air stand still I want to feel your warmth alongside me Your heat in my ears Whispering lovely music Drown me in your embrace
